Quality construction is a combination of …
- Good designs
- Quality products
- Capable subcontractors
- Timely scheduling
- Willingness to work with each and every home as if it is your own
- Onsite flexibility
Mark and Scott oversee each job, to ensure our client’s quality expectations are met. Our in-house ability to produce drawings detailing electrical specifications, custom carpentry and tile designs, exterior accents and more, ensures our subcontractors have the latest information to complete their assigned task.
Hinrichs & Hinrichs is continually seeking new information and
researching new products in order to keep pace with the ever changing
construction industry. We look for companies who are the best in their field and have a
history of quality results. Most of our clients are very familiar with the use of the Internet, and this allows both parties to direct each other to sites which are relevant to the home build.
Through years of working with different subcontractors we’ve come to understand that good contractors are about more then just price. We look for companies that are licensed, bonded and insured. We look for companies with a history of quality results. We use referrals as a way to find new potential contractors, many of whom are trusted clients of our vendors. We also look to set an expectation for our subcontractors, which represents a level of quality we feel is acceptable.
Scheduling is critical to the success of many home building projects. We use Microsoft Project and Outlook for much of our forecasting and scheduling needs. We also maintain a high level of communication with our clients and subcontractors through cellular phones, digital pictures, faxes and email. Our daily attention to each project's schedule, helps to maintain smooth transitions between subcontractors and provides consistency between projects.
We feel it’s important to maintain flexibility throughout the build, as each of our homes is unique in nature. Although we have a good idea of what works, we don’t expect our client’s needs to be the same as the general public. Often times the clients wait until rooms are framed, before they
can understand how they want to proceed to the next level.
Adding custom features such as media centers, plant shelves, archways, additional outlets and lights are all items that can be worked into a build that don’t need rigid design constraints prior to building. Often times you can set budgets for such items, then design as you go. This process is generally less expensive than changing something that just doesn’t look as you thought it might when drawn on paper.
We’ve been working with Mark and Scott Hinrichs on a custom home in Wenatchee Washington and look forward to moving in this spring. The design process went well and Mark did a great job of taking our ideas and making them a reality. If you’re looking to design and build a home, I would recommend meeting with Mark and Scott to discuss your ideas. Their process is more than just pulling from a list of standard features and upgrades, their homes are truly custom.
